The Cardinals are the oldest continuously operated football team in the professional ranks in the United States. The franchise was founded in 1898 in Chicago as the Morgan Athletic Club, Racine Cardinals. Together with the Chicago Bears, the Cardinals are one of just two NFL charter franchises still operating today. The franchise later changed its name and, as the Chicago Cardinals, won two NFL titles. In 1960, the franchise relocated to St. Louis, Missouri where it would reside until 1987.

Arizona Cardinals tickets went on sale for the first time during the 1988 season as the team settled in at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona on the campus of Arizona State University. For the first six seasons in the desert, the franchise went by the name Phoenix Cardinals, before switching to its current name to represent the state of Arizona as a whole. For the better part of its history in Arizona, the team was a doormat for NFC teams, first as a member of the NFC East division (1970-2001) and then as a member of the NFC West (2002-current).

Since the 2008 NFL season, the Arizona Cardinals have steadily improved the product on the field. The franchise moved into a brand new, retractable roof stadium in the suburb of Glendale in 2006. At that point, sales of Arizona Cardinals tickets began to improve as the nicer facility drew more fans and the team improved. The Cardinals won the NFC West division in back-to-back seasons in 2008 and 2009. The team even reached the Super Bowl following the 2008 season, but lost a heartbreaker to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald as the centerpiece, the Cardinals offense has been improving in recent seasons. Last year the team finished 10-6, but did not make the playoffs as a Wild Card team. As members of the NFC West, the Arizona Cardinals compete against some of the best teams in the NFL today. The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks provide a tough challenge for the Cardinals each season, with the St. Louis Rams offering up stiff resistance on occasion.

Fans purchasing Arizona Cardinals tickets this coming season will get to see the Cardinals host Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers, as well as the defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks at University of Phoenix stadium.
