Grammy® award winning performer Cher will begin performing at Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas in May, 2008. Cher joins an exclusive list of stars to perform at Ceasars Palace that includes Celine Dion, Elton John and Bette Midler.
Cher found fame in 1965 as half of the pop duo Sonny & Cher and hs since gone on to become one of the most successful solo recording artists, releasing over 25 albums and earning a Grammy Award®, Emmy Award, Academy Award, three Golden Globes and several Billboard Music Awards as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Cher in Las Vegas will be an exciting production. Her last concert tour, The Farewell Tour, lasted 3 years and included a huge stage production that looked back on her 40 years in the business. Cher's concert included performance and video clips from the 1960s forward, featuring her successes in music, film, and television, all set among an elaborate stage set-up and backdrop, with abacking band, singers and dancers, and aerial acrobatics. Cher's Farewell Tour and Cher tickets were extended several times, crisscrossing the U.S. and Canada several cities with Cher tickets in Europe, as well as Cher concerts in the major cities of Australia and New Zealand. With the Cher concert dates extending well past the original cutoff date, the Cher tour was eventually called the "Never Can Say Goodbye Tour."
